Summary:
The Physical Therapist, (PT), performs evaluations and administers treatments prescribed for the spectrum of physical disabilities, supervises PT aides, participates in in-service and quality assurance programs and other duties and administrative tasks as directed by supervisors.
Education, Training and Licenses Required:
· The Physical Therapist must graduate from a CAPTE (Commission on Accreditation and Physical Therapy Education) accredited university/college.
· Current California licensure;
· Current BLS certification;
· Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Experience Required:
· No prior work experience is required but is desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- · Thorough command of accepted PT evaluation and treatment techniques;
- · Good documentation, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- · Ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages and developmental stages.
Equipment Knowledge Required:
The PT will demonstrate competency in theory and practical use of all electrical, thermal, and mechanical equipment used in this department.

The hours of duty are lengthy and irregular.
