Physical Therapist

Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine, a multi-specialty Orthopedic, Spine and Sports Medicine practice in Ridgewood, NJ has an exciting opportunity to join our growing family and is seeking a FULL-TIME Physical Therapist. Experience working in an Orthopedic or Sports Medicine office preferred. We are looking for a committed Physical Therapist to act as the patient’s partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will help maximize the quality of life and movement potential.

Responsibilities:

• Treat patients following a physician’s orders and using various therapeutic techniques to resolve strength, mobility, and functionality issues.
• Perform evaluations based on the need of each patient, specific programming, and recommendations from physicians to provide treatment for various musculoskeletal motor and mobility impairments
• Add notes to patient EHR record regarding performance, progress, and treatment needs
• Provides comprehensive treatment plans including long and short-term goals, frequency, duration, and treatment modalities.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
• Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
• Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
• Design, home program activities for patience upon discharge to ensure continuation of treatment
• Adjust schedule to patients needs
• Working in our West Orange and Morristown locations

Qualifications:

• New Grads welcome, 2 years of experience preferred, preferably working in Orthopedic Physical Therapy
• Current license from the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy
• Ability to collaborate with other disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal and clinical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
