Physical Security Operations Specialist 2Nd And 3Rd Shifts (Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekends)

*2nd and 3rd shifts, part-time, full-time, weekends available

Essential Functions

• From the security operations center which will open in January 2023, the Specialist will monitor CCTV systems for our retail properties as required: receives, screens and takes appropriate action on all alerts to include CCTV, telephone and any other system managed or monitored by the security operations center, determines the nature and location of the alert; determines the priority and escalates the matter accordingly to the appropriate group (Security Operations, Management, Police, EMS, etc.) in a clear, concise organized and understandable manner.
• Be aware and report any risk management, i.e. hazardous conditions, found while monitoring CCTV to the appropriate property management staff.
• Keeps legible and chronological logs of alerts and other events during a shift.
• Ensures that all center equipment and systems are operating and functioning within defined perimeters.
• Maintains video storage and records; prepares copies and reports as requested per WPG retention schedule and policies.
• Assists property teams with the review of reports filed by security and mall center management ensuring that all relevant CCTV footage and other materials that may be under the purvue of the security operations center are delivered accurately and timely to the appropriate group.
• Assist property teams and legal department when requested by local, state or national law enforcement to produce CCTV footage or report pursuant to valid subpoenas or search warrant; archive produced material appropriately.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of CCTV platforms and capabilities as they relate to proactive security measures.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, exercising good judgement and making sound and timely decisions under emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Ability to work individually or with others in a stationary environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification, Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical certifications with CCTV operation not required but desirable.
• Experience in general or retail security helpful. Experience in a security operations center, 911 dispatch center or Law Enforcement a plus.
• Experience in shopping center operations a plus.
