Php Wordpress Developer (Backend Exp Is A Must)

A PHP Web Developer specializing in WordPress CMS to join our growing digital team.

This PHP developer should be skilled in all aspects of web development, and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a wide variety of web-based solutions using PHP, JavaScript, jquery, MySQL, CSS and AJAX. Work performed may include all aspects of our clients’ web-based systems, including multiple websites and microsites, and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop dynamic, database-driven sites
• Design, develop and maintain websites and web-based solutions utilizing modern technologies
• Work directly with the VP of Technology on development execution strategies
• Participate in design and architecture of applications to meet business requirements
• Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines
• Provide documentation as required and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine digital status meetings

Requirements:

• 5+ years demonstrated development experience with coding advanced PHP, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX and JavaScript while utilizing data from MySQL databases, APIs, XML and JSON
• Ability to install, upgrade and manage PHP/MySQL installs
• Proven experience developing high-availability, database-driven applications
• Working knowledge of enterprise-level Linux and Win OS hosts
• Expert-level HTML and CSS frontend skills
• Proven expertise with responsive design standards and libraries/frameworks
• Working knowledge and experience with SEO and accessibility best practices
• 5+ years as a WordPress developer with a solid understanding of the framework, custom plugins, coding best practices, resources and community
• .NET development experience a plus

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a service-based web design and development agency
• eCommerce development experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Expert-level WordPress experience

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience preferred.
