Job Title:Photography Intern

Class: Internship; non-exempt

Location: Milwaukee, WI; on-site

Summary:

The Photography Intern will assist the Bucks photographers in curation, logging, post-production, content creation & capturing the excitement, emotion, and fun around the Milwaukee Bucks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for logging game night photos, working with the content team to identify unique and compelling photography to be distributed across Milwaukee Bucks digital platforms, as well as creating content for year-round engagement across the organization’s digital audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform multiple duties during games, including card running, live ingestion of photos, captioning and key wording photos, editing photos, photo gear transport, lighting assistance, and any other photo or video needs deemed necessary.
  • Color correct all images for use in print, web, and social media materials.
  • Input metadata on all images with photo captioning, naming, and tagging for future searching capabilities.
  • Fulfill internal photo requests from Marketing, Digital, Corporate Sales, Ticket Sales.
  • Assist in managing photo archives, including editing, tagging, cataloging, and scanning all current/historical imagery.
  • Assist the Creative and Content teams as needed.
  • Regularly work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio demonstrating experience of delivering creative and effective photography is a plus!
  • Understanding of sports action, lifestyle, and portrait photography.
  • Experience with Adobe Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, Photoshop, and Mac operating systems.
  • Knowledge of metadata and how it effects the user experience when searching for an asset.
  • Ability to work with both ambient and studio lighting - including familiarity with various light modifiers.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Strong people skills with ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization effectively and flexibly.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
