About KOLO:
KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC, CW, and Telemundo affiliate television station serving the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada and parts of eastern California. KOLO broadcasts seven hours of news on weekdays. We are also dedicated to serving the community through KOLO Cares, partnering with area non-profit organizations.
Job Summary/Description:
The PHOTOGRAPHER/EDITOR for KOLO will be required to shoot and edit content daily for newscasts. This person will also help oversee live remote shoots.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Editing video content for newscasts.
- Shooting stories and overseeing live shots.
- Helping with station vehicle maintenance.
- Pursuing possible story ideas.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Two years prior newsroom experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with ENPS and Edius is a plus.
- Bilingual speaker, fluency in Spanish is a plus.
