Triage all incoming patient calls ensuring that all pertinent information for the physician is included in all messages.
- Answers and welcomes patients on the phone in a professional, respectful, and confidential manner.
- Provides appropriate triage and assessment of the medical and service needs of patients to ensure high quality care and optimal patient flow.
- Communication of all patient care is thorough, objective, concise, and follows appropriate compliance guidelines.

- Utilizes all pertinent functions of the phone system in directing calls to appropriate staff and/or service areas, ensuring minimal transferring.
- Utilizes computer system accurately and efficiently for patient registration, appointment scheduling, and phone messaging.
- Communicates effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and other service areas with professionalism, appropriate follow through utilizing telephone, computer, and fax.
- Accurately and discreetly schedules, reschedules, cancels, and/or confirms patient appointments with provider per department protocols.
- Applies knowledge of general insurance guidelines and requirements to help direct patient care.
- Observes department conditions and activities taking appropriate action to deliver a positive patient experience.
- Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
- Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
- Takes initiative to seek out tasks and duties or to assist others as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
- Cross trains in other positions where appropriate as determined by manager.
- Adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
- Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.

Education/Certification/License:
MA - Prefer experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office or be a Certified Medical Assistant.
LPN - Current Indiana license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task, be organized, and must enjoy a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is a plus.
