Job Summary:
Phlebotomist obtains blood samples from inpatients/outpatients by established collection techniques appropriate to the age/level of difficulty of the patient
Performs all duties to the identification/accessioning/labeling/distribution of samples for assay
Performs all skills as defined by department competency checklists
Requirements:
Successful completion of a formal medical assistant/phlebotomy training program
National certification preferred not required
