Phlebotomist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. Must be able and have experience doing all Phlebotomy duties; including pediatric, to geriatric. Also able to handle Urine dips, upt, and other in-house testing. Job is with a major lab company, that conducts business inside or smaller clinics.

Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Verify patient information and ensure proper identification before sample collection
- Label specimens accurately and complete necessary documentation
- Prepare samples for laboratory testing and ensure proper storage and transportation
- Follow established protocols and maintain aseptic technique during all procedures
- Assist with patient education regarding specimen collection procedures
- Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment
- Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Valid certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, AMT, NHA)
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and specimen collection processing
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff

Job located in Rayville, LA but could also be in the surrounding areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
