MD Anderson is seeking a Philanthropy Specialist to provide high-level programmatic support in to the recruitment, onboarding and professional development initiatives in the Office of the Chief Philanthropy Officer. Directly accountable to the Program Director, the Philanthropy Specialist is entrusted with operationalizing confidential processes and procedures in support of recruitment across the division. This team member will coordinate multiple aspects of the division recruitment process, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers while maintaining strict confidentiality. The team member will provide project support to various onboarding and professional development initiatives across the division.
KEY FUCTIONS
Philanthropic Business Support (60%)
Successfully execute and complete project requirements for staffing initiatives, keeping stakeholders apprised of progress with satisfactory deliverables. Ability to anticipate next steps and prepare accordingly and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Possess organizational, time management and event coordination skills. Proficient writing and proofreading skills. Knowledge of when and how to request and coordinate services from internal and external partners.
  • Partner with the Program Director, OCPO and Director, OCPO with work related to the division's culture and staffing initiatives.

  • Coordinate division wide recruitment initiatives by overseeing the scheduling of candidates, working directly with hiring managers on interview panel composition and disseminating interview materials.

  • Demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Act as a resource for all division staff regarding recruitment, onboarding and professional development resources.

Programmatic Project Execution (20%)
Consistently deliver skillful execution of team-specific work with an eye toward continuous improvement, while being aware of the impact of the team's work on and in partnership with others.
  • Coordinate various aspects of the onboarding and professional development programs

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of programmatic digital resources and training materials.

  • Track key performance indicators and metrics across multiple programs.

Administrative Support (20%)
Department administrative support including calendar and meeting schedule management (external and internal stakeholders) across multiple professional staff.
  • Coordinate guest speakers for team training series.

  • Coordinate rotation of division team presentations for Town Hall meetings.

  • Facilitate calendar availability and prepare meeting materials.

EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: One year of clerical, office, administrative, organizational, or related support experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Experience in human resources or Talent Management.
