SummaryThis position assists Research Pharmacists with the day-to-day operations of the Research Pharmacy. The responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician, under general supervision of Research Pharmacist, include: managing the investigational products (IP) inventory; providing technical assistance with clinical trial protocols; performing drug distribution activities, when required; maintaining information and assisting in the record keeping related to clinical trials required by the study protocols; preparing intravenous and or chemotherapy products in accordance with established procedures and guidelines; maintaining the clinical investigational work areas in a clean and orderly manner; performing training/educational functions; performing cross-functional and other duties and responsibilities consistent with the job classification.

• High School Diploma or GED• 1 year sterile preparation compounding experience• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)• Pharmacy technician certificate issued by LA Board of Pharmacy
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree• Sterile compounding certification• Experience with clinical trials• 1 years of hospital experience
