 The Quality Support Technician reports to the Director of Pharmacy and is responsible for assisting Quality Team in improving medication adherence scores.

If you locally live in the Tampa Bay area as you may need to commute to the Corporate office in Tampa for meetings, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Supports Medications Adherence quality initiatives
  • Works collaboratively with Quality team and centers to improve Medication Adherence measures
  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality care and concern with every internal and external customer
  • Represents the Company in a professional manner, following all Company policies and procedures
  • Uses, protects, and discloses Optum-FL patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Must have consistent, punctual and reliable attendance

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook)
  • Understanding of STAR/HEDIS measures
  • Proven ability to possess high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and dependability
  • Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proven ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with general guidance
  • Proven ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure
  • Proven ability to communicate accurately and effectively and build positive working relationships
  • Proven ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
  • Proven ability to have good follow-through
  • Proven flexible and adaptable; comfortable with change and fast paced environment
  • Proven team player, and willingness to take ownership of projects
  • Proven solid communication skills

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Pharmacy experience 
  • STAR/HEDIS experience
