**EVENING AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS A PLUS**
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer Service
- Ringing the Register- verifying DOB/address, offer of counseling, selling PSE product, promoting company initiatives, etc.
- Accepting new and refilled prescriptions
a. Sending refill requests to prescribers
- Answering phones with appropriate greeting
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Helping customers locate OTC items
- Resolving third party/ billing issues
Understand prescription workflow and utilize all aspects of the dispensing software
- Data Entry- Processing new and refill prescriptions (e.g. knowing where to find incoming prescriptions, reading a new prescription, selecting the correct information for processing, adjudicating the prescription to third parties, etc.)
- Product Dispensing- Verifying correct stock product, counting/pouring/packaging, and labeling for patient use
- Rebilling Insurance Claims
- Utilize all workflow queues and understand how to locate necessary information independently
Promoting all company initiatives
- Immunizations
- Automatic Refills
- MTM
Inventory management
- Accepting orders and stocking shelves in order to rotate inventory properly
- Perform cycle counts and maintain proper on hand quantities
- Assist in the transfer of unused inventory
- Remove outdated product
- Process returns
Returning prescriptions to stock
Filing Prescriptions and Invoices
Housekeeping- Cleaning the department, dusting shelves, stocking supplies on a daily basis, trash removal
Paperwork at the discretion of the pharmacist on duty
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtaining and maintaining all certifications and licenses per state requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:
1. Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma/ GED
2. Experience (Minimum Needed): Retail pharmacy experience preferred
3. Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Computer based skills, customer service skills
4. Special Skills: Team work, quick learner, self-motivated
5. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
6. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with Company policies and safety regulations
7. Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
8. Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
9. Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
10. Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
11. Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
12. Must pass a background check along with drug test.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
