City Drug is a locally owned pharmacy in Maryville, TN. We currently are in our 100th year of business and love taking care of our community. We offer a free delivery and pill packaging service. Our operating hours are 9AM-6PM Monday -Friday, 9AM - 2PM Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We are a local independent pharmacy striving to provide exceptional and caring service to our patients. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain proper storage and handling of medications
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards
- Process prescription orders and verify patient information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
