Department Information
Stamps Health Services is an outpatient ambulatory care center that provides health care and health education to students and their spouses/domestic partners. The center is located in a state-of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot facility within the Joseph Brown Whitehead Building, next to our Campus Recreation Center. Stamps Health Services provides care in six areas: Primary care, Women's health, Psychiatry, Travel/Immunization/Allergy, Pharmacy, and Diagnostic Services (lab and radiology).

Job Summary

Assist and support pharmaceutical services by assisting with the stocking, preparation, and distribution of medications. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute health center physicians, external physicians, students requiring prescription medication and their families. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Retrieve and count medication, and label containers under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
Job Duty 2 -
Update patient profile database with appropriate medication and dispensing information
Job Duty 3 -
Receives written prescriptions from patients and verified information required on precription is complete.
Job Duty 4 -
May receive and assist with the processing of patient prescription refill requests.
Job Duty 5 -
Provide administrative duties related to operating pharmacy.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform cashier functions for payments received for medications.
Job Duty 7 -
Order and replace stock in the pharmacy under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Must be registered with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy as a Technician
Required Experience
One to two years of job related experience

Salary range: $15.00-$19.00

Location: Onsite (Atlanta, GA)
