Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records.
- Prepare and package medications for patients, ensuring correct dosage and labeling.
- Perform inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
Skills:
- Hospital or critical care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for preparing sterile products, including IV infusions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient service.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inhalation medications and devices is a plus.
