The Technician is a member of the Pharmacy Department team and assists the professional staff in processing and delivering drug orders and medications, and is under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy. The Technician is responsible for meeting and maintaining established medical and pharmacy protocols. At a minimum, must perform established Washington Health System Core Pharmacy Department responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable and responsible for entering physician’s orders, processing, and delivering medications, and maintain a working inventory of medications and supplies.
- Demonstrates competency and completes all technical skills and patient care procedures as delegated according to established Washington Health System Core Pharmacy Technician Skills & Responsibilities.
- Accurately reports information to members of the Pharmacy Department team and other members of Washington Health System.
Shift: Rotating days & shifts. Must be able to work all shifts (6AM-2PM, 6:30AM-2:30PM, 7AM-3PM, 2PM-10PM, 2:30PM-10:30PM, 3PM-11PM and 11PM-7AM (on occasion) including weekends and holidays).
Hours Per Week: Full Time, 40 hours; Part Time 16-32 hours

Experience
Required- For non-certified techs, one year Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Hospital Experience.
Education
Required- High School/GED or better
- Technical/other training or better in Pharmacy Technician
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- Cert Pharmacy Tech
