The Pharmacy Supervisor in consultation with Pharmacy Manager and Director establishes and implements policies, procedures, and standards to help ensure efficient workflow within the Oncology Pharmacies in both the Hartford & Central Regions of Hartford Healthcare. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:

·        Makes recommendations to Site Manager, Clinical Manager, and Director to ensure pharmacy or clinic practice in assigned area is optimized

·        Provide direct oversight to staff in defined work group including annual work performance appraisals.

·        Leads daily/monthly work group in assigned area as defined by pharmacy leadership team

·        Interfaces with outside stakeholders to ensure patient and customer needs are being met

·        Provides flexible scheduling coverage and assists in fulfilling staffing and on call requirements in both routine and unforeseen circumstances in accordance with departmental and hospital wide needs.

·        Maintains general pharmacy competencies and continuing education as well as competency in specialty role.

·        Proactively works with management to foster a culture of patient safety and acts upon and reports safety concerns appropriately and in accordance with hospital policy.

Qualifications

Education:

•B.S or Pharm.D. Required. PharmD preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

•Current CT Pharmacist license or eligibility within 45 days

Experience:

·        Three (3) or more years’ experience in a hospital pharmacy with a focus operations.

·        Prior experience in a supervisory role preferred
