For over 50 years, the HealthDirect team has been dedicated to the unique pharmacy needs of individuals residing in Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities, as well as correctional facilities and group homes.".  On a daily basis our team provides prescription medications, over-the-counter products, clinical consulting services, and specialty pharmacy services to more than 50,000 residents.

Scope of Responsibilities: Works under limited supervision.  Relies on experience and judgment to ensure adequate inventory levels

 

Job Summary: Responsible for the inventory management, appropriate stock levels and maintaining accurate cost files.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Replenish inventory from in-store stock and in coming orders
  • Assist in the ordering of replacement product from the appropriate supplier
  • Assist in the management of inventory levels insuring adequate quantities are available to meet customers needs, without maintaining excessive levels
  • Assist in identifying and returning outdated or over stocked merchandise to the proper source
  • Update IT drug database as needed
  • Work with facility management and HD support staff to ensure that accurate cost files are maintained
  • Perform general housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a professional and clean department
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED
  • Preferred: AS Degree or Higher

 

Experience:

  • Preferred: 2 or more years previous experience in related position

 

Required (Vermont Employees):

  • Registered  with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician

 

Required (Ohio Employees Only):

  • Registered with the State of Ohio as a Pharmacy Technician

 

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Drug test
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
  • Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position

 

Job Skills Required:

  • Detailed knowledge of daily drug usage
  • Basic keyboarding and calculator skills
  • Strong communication skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Requires the ability to stand throughout the majority of the shift
  • Limited lifting up to 80 lbs
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test

  • HIPPA Privacy Course
  • HIPPA Security Course
  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Course
  • MethGuard Course

Attendance Requirements:

  • Must be available, and on-time for scheduled work shifts
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required

Compensation:

 

$20-22 an hour

 

The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
