Pharmacy Intern

Interns perform the following job duties at our compounding pharmacy:

• Receive new prescriptions over the phone, fax and email from veterinarians and doctors
• Process orders into our pharmacy management software, “PK Software”
• Assist with patient consultation on the phone and in-person in the will call area
• Compound custom medication orders with technicians in our lab (less than 5% of the time)
• 7hr Saturday shift, paid as an 8 hr shift
• *Brand new, state of the art 15,000 SF compounding facility in Beaverton (relocated October 1st, 2022)

What we ask of our Pharmacy Interns:

· Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

· Follow the direction of your trainer very closely on all company policies and procedures.

· Use your training manual and keep it on your person during your first two months on the job.

· Never assume or guess on anything, when in doubt, always ask your trainer or a pharmacist

· Be aware of your schedule and be on time for your shifts.

· Double check your work.

· Assist the pharmacist in any way requested.

· Do your best to be informed and self-sufficient.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
