SalaryPharmacy Intern
College Hospital is seeking 1 per diem Pharmacy Intern to work on our team in Cerritos, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in pharmacy and is looking to gain experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes each patient's drug therapy for appropriateness; recommends changes to the medical team as necessary; monitors adverse drug reactions and submits reports.
- Accurately interprets and screens medications orders; contacts the physician for clarification when needed.
- Accurately inputs medication orders into the pharmacy computer system; verifies medication orders entered by the Pharmacy Technicians.
- Effectively provides drug information to physicians, nurses and other healthcare personnel.
- Accurately fills stock orders for departments within the hospital.
- Effectively assists with the purchase, control, dispensing, preparation, delivery, documentation, reconciliation and destruction of controlled substances within the hospital.
- Accurately files medication orders; maintains records and reports and performs other clerical duties as assigned.
- Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.
Required Skills:
- Pharmacy Intern in the state of California.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, computer skills, typing, and demonstrated skills commensurate with formal training required.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
