The Bilingual Pharmacy Clerk will assist patients with picking up their medications as well as checking out the medications through the Point of Sale (POS) system. This is a full-time position based in San Antonio, TX (315 N. San Saba, Ste 110, San Antonio, TX)
$500 Sign-On Bonus!
The position offers a consistent work schedule with NO HOLIDAYS and NO LATE EVENINGS ! Pharmacy hours of operation: Mon - Fri: 9:00AM - 6PM & Sat: 9AM-1PM (weekend shift will be rotational).
About the Role:
- Operates the cash register using the POS system
- Balances cash register drawer at the end of shift
- Ensures all daily deposits are properly carried out in a timely way for all POS registers
- Accept prescription orders and evaluate information for completeness and accuracy
- Check and enters daily prescription orders from wholesalers
- Coordinate and tracks daily local prescription deliveries
- Organizes patient ready bags for deliveries and ensures accurate mailing addresses
- Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding HIPAA Privacy
- Maintains a neat and organized workstation
- Cleans pharmacy and equipment in accordance to company standards
- Maintain temperature logs for the pharmacy and medication refrigerators
- Answering incoming calls and make outbound calls to patients; transferring calls to the designated departments
- Communicate effectively with the team, including other technicians and pharmacists
- Manages/addresses customers needs at the drive-thru window
About You:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of MS Suite including Word, spreadsheet software; inventory software; internet software; order processing systems
- Cashiering experience using POS software
- Be pro-active in identifying and analyzing problems and providing solutions
- Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and flexible, have excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service
