Ensure availability and delivery of medications to authorized locations/personnel. Prepare and repackage medications accurately. Maintain in-date inventory of medications. Record and charge supplies/medications to correct patient/location. Assist Pharmacists in the delivery of all aspects of Pharmaceutical care.
- Develops, implements, and ensures effective business practices and procedures. Maintains oversight to purchase order creation, and ensures invoices are paid in a timely manner.
- Purchases pharmaceuticals within operational and compliance requirements of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Purchases within a variety of 340B program set ups (mixed-use, 340B clean site, virtual inventory, non-virtual inventory)
- Uses 340B third-party administrator software system to help maintain program compliance
- Recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve systems of procurement and takes an active role in departmental program improvement initiatives. Identifies and takes action when process can be improved to reduce waste, improve workflow, and reduce drug expense.
- Supports the daily operations of the Pharmacy. Review receiving documentation daily, coordinate clinic requisitions, and product distribution across the health-system.
