River Valley Specialty Pharmacy is an innovative and rapidly growing pharmacy with the goal to be the premier specialty pharmacy in the State of Arkansas, respected by providers and trusted by patients. The majority of business is in dermatology prescriptions and looking to grow in other therapeutic areas. The ideal candidate will be a business-minded pharmacist with a passion for leadership and growth.
We pride ourselves in clinical expertise, and set ourselves apart from other pharmacies in the time we dedicate to counseling patients on their prescriptions, and working with prescribers to find the optimal treatment choice for patients. Many of the prescriptions we fill require prior authorizations and working with third party payers to get approval, and we work hard to get patients prescriptions covered. Our customer service is unparalleled, so the ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and will exemplify the customer service reputation we have built.
Candidate must hold a valid pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Arkansas.
DUTIES
- Daily operations of the pharmacy, including the oversight of pharmacy technicians and delivery drivers
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards
- Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Review and interpret medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently - Monitor pharmacy inventory and oversee procurement
- Monitor drug therapy for efficacy, safety, and adherence to formulary guidelines
- Conduct patient assessments and provide recommendations for therapy adjustments
- Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and patients
EXPERIENCE
- River Valley Specialty Pharmacy recognizes merit over experience. - This is a unique pharmacy so we expect to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate.
- Knowledge of medical management principles and utilization review processes
- Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and physiology
PharmD or RPh required.
