Job Summary:
The Pharmacist plays a crucial role in treating patients that are participating in clinical research studies. Main responsibilities will be to prepare and administer investigational products to patients participating in a clinical research study.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understands and implements the protocol with oversight by the Principal Investigator (MD)
- Follows the research protocol directly
- Adheres to good clinical practices
- Responsible for ongoing, active communication of study progress, questions, issues with Investigator and Sub-investigator.
- Understands the drug preparation instructions and storage directions for the study drug to be administered.
- Ensures study drug is dispensed, prepared, administered and returned per assigned protocols as unblinded injector
- Documents and tracks the drug accountability for investigational product per study and any required logs
- Completes study source documents as required by the study
- Receives and logs in drug as arrived, creates tracking logs for accountability as needed
- Works with study sponsor and unblinded monitor as directed.
- Responsible for QA work as delegated
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis and / or educational interventions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion and counseling skills.
- Previous clinical research, medical office, or hospital experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Calm under pressure and capable of solving sudden problems that may not have clear answers or readily available resources
- Proficient in navigating unfamiliar technology and programs independently and adeptly such as site CTMS
- Personable
- Effective communicator who can cooperate as a member of a team
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently within a hierarchy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite
Education and Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of PA
- Experience with administering medications to patients
Physical Requirements:
- Means and ability to commute to both offices in Media, PA and West Chester, PA
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- COVID-19 vaccination encouraged
Wage/Salary: $68/hour
Pay: $68.00 per hour
