Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Pharmacist advances rational, patient-oriented drug therapy. He/she promotes pharmacists as integral members of the health-care team in order to allow full utilization of their clinical and drug use control functions that would be beneficial in each health setting. He/she will serves as a primary advocate for advancing professional practice, increasing cost-effectiveness of pharmaceutical services and improving the quality of patient care.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred but not necessary.
License/Certifications
- New York State Pharmacy License.
- New York State Pharmacy Registration Certificate.
- Current certificate in BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Immunization Certification.
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- May require admixture of chemotherapeutic agents.
- May require prolonged periods of standing.
- May require the occasional lifting of heavy boxes.
