Pharmacist for COVID-19 vaccine
Carry out their clinical duties in accordance with HSE policies, clinical and operational; guidance and standard operating procedures appropriate to the provision of COVID-19 vaccinesManage the assigned individuals identified for the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine as per HSE clinical guidance for COVID-19 vaccination and the Immunisation guidelines for Ireland
Promote, monitor and supervise care to ensure that it is carried out in an empathetic and ethical manner and that the dignity, spiritual and cultural needs of the people are respected
Adhere to infection control policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines (PPPGs)
Monitor individuals post vaccination as per as per HSE clinical guidance for COVID19 vaccination guidelines for Ireland and escalate concerns as appropriate
Assist with the daily preparation of the COVID-19 vaccination pod and observation areas and ensure that vaccine, stationery and health promotion resources are available in immediate work area romote good interpersonal relationships with individuals, and their family as appropriate.
Provide education and information about the COVID-19 vaccination to the individual, their family and be an advocate for the person and for their family, as required.
- Provide clinical nursing services in Public Health Offices or outreach settings for COVID-19 immunization activities as directed by the Public Health Division (PHD) Medical Director, Chief Nurse, Regional Health Officer (RHO) or Regional Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and Program Manager for the Immunization Program. Services provided are COVID-19 vaccination administration efforts in various locations in the state of New Mexico.
- Vaccinate the targeted population/s as quickly as possible to control the spread of disease. Assist strike teams at organized Point of Dispensing (POD) events with COVID 19 vaccination efforts to include homebound efforts.
- Familiarize her/himself of all clinical protocols and required training as directed by the Medical Director, Chief Nurse, RHO or DNS and the Vaccine and Outreach Manager for the Immunization Program.
- Provide all required documentation in the New Mexico Statewide Immunization Information System, Vaccine Registration Application, and Billing platform as identified by the PHD for documentation and billing system in accordance with clinical treatment protocols, health record policies and procedures.
- Be able to respond quickly to instructions given from staff while maintaining confidentiality of client's files/records/charts/personal health information.
- Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude with tasks as they may change throughout the day.
- Travel and at times submit for a lodging request to assist clinics in the state that need nurse assistance for COVID-19 vaccine administration.
- Have excellent written/verbal communication skills to efficiently communicate with internal/external staff as assistance in the call center may be needed at times.
- Provide proof of liability insurance and current copies of licensed for personnel on site. Comply with all applicable requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Complete employment applications, references, education, prior employment background, and nursing competencies, including evaluation and skills checklist, and copies of all licenses and certifications before professional's arrival, if applicable.
