Duties:
- Dispense medications accurately and provide appropriate instructions to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Knowledge of utilization management and utilization review processes
- Familiarity with pain management, critical care, IV infusion, and aseptic technique
Skills:
- Strong patient service orientation
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
