Job Summary:
The Petroleum Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair electronic products, equipment, and controls and will assist in updating electronic systems, components of fuel dispensers, and station site controllers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. Unless Level 3 Mentor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Repairs, installs, and inspects electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
- Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to electronic systems.
- Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs.
- Ensures local, state, and national electrical codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems.
- Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions.
- Reports potentially dangerous electrical equipment to the location owner and takes steps to resolve the issue. Complies with OSHA and EPA rules.
- Resolve and assist with warranty calls.
- Perform start-up and commissioning of new equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned during normal and on-call hours.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of electronics principles.
- Provide Quality Customer Service
- Detail-oriented and organized and problem-solving ability.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to follow highly complex directions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to become Gilbarco dispenser certified.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. 8-10 Hours of standing, bending, and stooping per day.
- Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
