We hate to call it a job because what we do is so much fun and very rewarding! While we take the care of pets seriously, it is a fun way to earn part-time supplemental income. Our Openings:

We have immediate openings in the 27608, 27609, 27612, 27613 and 27615 zip codes! We are accepting applicants with the following availability:

• Open Flexibility: Available anytime Monday through Sunday between 7am and 10pm. This position offers the opportunity to maximize income earnings!
• Mon-Fri 7am-2:30pm: This position is a blend of pet sitting and dog walking care.
• Weekday Evenings and Weekends: Weekday evenings between 4-10pm (most visits are between 4-7pm and/or 7-9pm) and between 7am and 10pm on weekends.
• Other: Please let us know when you are consistently available during the week including days and times.

Our Compensation:

We strongly believe our caregivers are a very important and integral part of our company and the professionals who engage most frequently with our clients. Because of the important role you play, we believe in compensating you well and treating you with respect.

Depending on your availability and number of visits you'd like to do, you can earn anywhere from a few hundred to $900+ a month depending on care giver availability and individual client needs. Our compensation is between $15-$22+ an hour. We are one of the few if not only companies in Raleigh that provides milestone compensation increases.

In addition, many clients provide a gratuity, and 100% of this goes to our caregivers.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Must live in or within 6 miles of one of these service areas: 27608, 27609, 27612, 27613 and 27615. This job is not suitable for commuting.
• Extremely reliable (pets are depending on you!), honest, trustworthy, and compassionate with a strong work ethic and genuine love and concern for animal well-being.
• Excellent time management skills for on time visit arrivals and detail-oriented to precisely follow client instructions. Have a natural drive to go the extra mile and providefirst-class service.
• Experience in the last 5 years with dogs, whether volunteer, professional, or with personal pets with a positive attitude and desire to learn. Cat experience is a plus.
• Be 21 yrs or older
• Must have own a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Must have a smart phone to use our pet sitting app
• Mustbe able to pass a background and DMV check
• Able to make a minimum 9-12 month commitment
• Have a good sense of humor always a plus!

Most visits occur between 7-10am, 11am-2:30pm, 4-7pm and 8-10pm. You may have anywhere from 0-8 visits a day depending on your flexibility, availability and number of visits you'd like to do. The average visit is 30 minutes long. We try not to schedule you for more than 8 visits a day because we want you to find it enjoyable and fulfilling to spend time with pets. We feel having a work/life balance makes for happier caregivers who in turn stay with us for many, many years!

Want insight into a day in the life of a professional Pet Sitter/Dog Walker? Read On!

It's Great! For starters, every day is casual day at work as we wear comfy clothes: t-shirts, jeans/shorts and sneakers!

You'll go to our client's home to care for their pets. We typically keep the distance between your home and client's to within 6 miles so you spend more time with pets and less time on the road getting to them. That means more income as you can visit more clients!

You'll be greeted by happy yappy pups and very meowy cats and walk, play with and love on them, feed, refresh water, administer medication if required, clean up accidents, scoop litter boxes and provide attention to the house by bringing in mail/packages, taking out trash bins, rotating lights and watering plants, all depending on the care requested. You'll know what to do using our professional pet sitting phone app.

You'll send a professional but fun visit note about your time with their fur baby along with pictures before you leave each visit and reply to their communications if they send any. Clients are just so grateful for the love and attention you provide and peace of mind they get knowing their cherished fur kids are in great hands while away! Its such a rewarding "job"!!

• When are you consistently available to work? We provide pet care every day of the year between 7am and 9:30pm.
• Pet Sitting has greater demand near holidays. Will you have some type of part-time availability near major holidays?
• Do you have the ability to provide overnight pet care in client's clean comfortable home? We start at 9pm and conclude at 7am the next morning. It is not a requirement, but we are always looking for those with availability.
• Do you have a valid driver's license and a safe, reliable and insured vehicle that is consistently available to you? Proof of license and insurance will be required.
• Do you have a reliable smartphone with unlimited data, GPS, camera, text and ability to download and use the pet sitting software app we use when visiting with clients?
• Are you comfortable walking dogs in all weather conditions for an average of 20-30 minutes, and up to 60 minutes when client requests? Walks on average are 20-30mins long.
• This is a part time, year round position. Are you able to commit to this position for a consecutive year?
• What is the gross (before taxes) income you need to make from any job taking into consideration this is a part time position and your availability to work. For example, $400/month.
• Tell us about your pet care experience in the last 5 years, whether volunteering at a shelter, professional (paid) and/personal pets.
• Tell us about your current / most recent pet and what you enjoy most about being a pet parent.
• If considered for this position, you will need to provide proof you are at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and currently insured vehicle. We will run a criminal background check and contact your professional references. We may need to contact you via telephone, text, email and possibly by Zoom virtual meetings.
