Our pet bathers deliver high-quality grooming services to clients. The position is focused on bathing for dogs and cats. This position entails a large amount of individual work as well as teamwork with other resort staff.

 

A qualified applicant will demonstrate knowledge and skills in the grooming industry and will possess the following skills:

  • Utilizing grooming instruments, including brushes and dryers
  • Performing bathing services for the groomer per client instructions for all breeds of dogs and cats
  • Comforting and calming nervous pets to promote a positive experience
  • Positive attitude towards all pets and their owners
  • Direct customer service experience to establish a trusting bond with our clients and handling potentially difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
  • High standard of cleanliness and self-directedness to keep your workstation neat and tidy
  • Skilled in other areas including nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressing
  • Ability to receive feedback from clients
  • The position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50+ pounds, as necessary), and standing for long periods of time
  • At least 1 year of experience as a bather.
  • References required
  • Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations. 
  • Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment. 
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
