Searching for Pet Groomer to Join our Team in Beautiful Santa Fe

Seeking fun and reliable people to join our team in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for animals and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include bathing, brushing, and drying pets, as well as providing basic grooming services. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with all types of animals and possess the ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Grooming experience is preferred but we would also love to train new bathers or groomers for a career and skills that will last a lifetime. Grooming is a great way to do what you love (work with animals!) and create meaningful, long lasting relationships within the community. Pets provide companionship and comfort and we are happy to help make our city’s canine companions look and feel their best.

Small but busy salon with regular clients booked through the year, located in historic downtown Santa Fe. Staff are easy going, friendly, and supportive. Salon owner has 25 years of experience, works alongside staff, and is looking forward to sharing their knowledge and skills with new team members.

Located in a high-desert landscape Santa Fe has 300+ days of sunshine a year, one of the biggest artistic communities in the country, and 400 years of history to explore. With so much outdoor recreation, world-class cuisine, and otherworldly sunsets, Santa Fe is an ideal place to call home.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and groom pets according to customer specifications.
• Bathe and dry pets using appropriate products and tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and providing information about services offered.
• Check for any signs of skin irritation or parasites on the pet's body.
• Monitor the pet's behavior during bathing to ensure safety.
• Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
