Pet Caretaker

SERIOUS APPLICANTS OVER 18 YEARS OLD ONLY!

We are a local Pet Care Facility accepting applications from candidates passionate about animals (primarily dogs of all sizes and breeds). Our facility provides boarding, daycare, and dog grooming. We have no breed restrictions at our facility. The position is an ACTIVE AND PHYSICAL OUTSIDEJOB POSITION INVOLVING exercising, feeding, bathing, cleaning up after the guests, and keeping the facility clean. The duties of the position are completed constantly throughout each shift.

The ideal candidate WILL have the ability to do the following:

• Threshold and general control of the dogs as demonstrated
• The ability to follow instructions as given
• The working environment is OUTSIDE
• Constant access to clean drinking water
• Communicating with others, as shown
• Situational awareness for potential safety issues
• Working independently and managing your time to complete a task
• Limited cell phone usage while on shift
• Bending, Squatting, Lifting, and Walking (a lot)
• The ability to learn and want to take on a challenge
• Appearance - Long hair must be secured (not free-flowing) and fingernails should be functional.

Weekends and holidays are necessary. Aversions to less-than-ideal weather, odd smells, loud sounds, cleaning messes, and getting dirty will disqualify candidates. Some candidates may be able to help in the grooming area. However, most of the abilities listed above still apply.

Pay: From $8.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
