Pest Control Service Specialist

Reports to
Pest Division Service Manager
Your primary responsibility is to perform all services offered by Pest Pros. As a pest control specialist, you will be required to travel in a company vehicle to multiple work sites every day, ranging from residential homes to commercial locations. You will be using your Pets Pros provided training in pest control knowledge and judgment to prevent and control various insect pests and rodents for our customers. This includes inspecting crawl spaces and attics along with occasional use of a ladder. Upon completion you will be documenting your efforts at each site both to aid in communication with each customer and comply with various regulatory requirements. An important aspect of the work is the ability to interact directly with customers to discuss findings and recommendations.
Services consist of:
Recurring insect and rodent services
Selling onetime and ongoing services based off customer needs
General repairs of vents, filling in rodent tunnels, cement/screening to seal entry points, trench and screening foundation tunneling, and build crawl access door.
Job Summary
Conducting interior and exterior inspections for pests
Setting traps, monitoring, and bait devices for pests
Treating perimeter of homes and structures for invading pests and prevention
Point of contact for customers for questions and concerns regarding services provided
Providing estimates for all pest control services offered
Working with Service Manager for troubleshooting customer concerns
Using text, phone, or email to customers and employees as needed in a timely manner.
Other duties assigned as needed by Service Manager
Safe use of company vehicle and equipment
Qualifications/Competencies
Experience in customer service
Excellent listening skills and phone etiquette.
Clear understanding of safety protocols for pest control, including wearing PPE properly and working with chemicals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Dependable, strong initiative and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
Industry knowledge – Construction, insulation, and pest control.
The ability to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment, strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical stamina for lifting equipment, spraying, sweeping, and crawling in crawl spaces/attic spaces.
Pest Control License– Structural, General and Laws/Safety (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a field environment independently.
Physical Demands
This is largely a fast pace moving environment. Ability to crawl attic and crawlspaces multiple times in a day. Ability to lift 20-40 lbs, and spray for 5-15 minutes length of time per customer. Additionally, to sweep and lift above head for periods of time. Ladder use also required
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
May vary based on company needs.
Travel
Required to travel to each job up to 100 Mile Radius dependent on company needs.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma
Customer Service
Pest Control experience preferred
Pest Control Licensing preferred
