Paramount Pest Management is looking for an experienced Field Technician to join our team. Professional Pest Control experience is a PLUS, but we may be willing to train the right person. Pay is based on experience, skills, and interview.

Essential Functions of the Position:
Overall, a Paramount Pest Control Technician will spend each day protecting people, homes, and businesses from annoying (and sometimes dangerous) pests, while building long-term relationships with clients. More specifically, some of the essential job duties are listed below, but are not all inclusive. Field Technicians may be required to perform other related duties as needed.
- Follow all Paramount Pest Management policies and protocols.
- Complete services as scheduled and record information of work performed in our mobile phone application.
- Use a variety of specialized equipment and materials to inspect and treat pest problems, including but not limited to, battery powered backpack sprayers, battery powered hand-held dusters, battery powered dry flowable applicators, battery powered granular spreaders, bait gel applicators, bee/wasp extension poles, infrared cameras, motion sensing cameras, gas powered backpack mosquito misters, gas powered augers, and rotary hammer drills.
- Inspect structures for pest entry points and seal them using a variety of materials and methods.
- Provide recommendations to customers on how to prevent future pest infestations.
- Sell and start service contracts, upsell additional services as needed.
- Cover for and work with other team members as needed.

Essential Requirements to be considered for the Position:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years or older and have at least 3 years of driving experience – this is mandatory to drive a company vehicle.
- Must have at least 7A NYSDEC Certification – the more Certifications the Better!
- Knowledge of Pest Control equipment, products, services, treatments, regulations, and safety procedures is preferred.
- At least 2 (two) years of Pest Control Technician experience with commercial/residential accounts is preferred.
- Must be able to meet certain physical demands, such as walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting & carrying up to 50 lbs., entering & exiting attics & crawl spaces, and using ladders to inspect/treat roofs and other areas up to 30 feet.
- Must be able to work safely and effectively in hot & cold temperatures.
- Must have a positive attitude and a sense of humor!
