SalarySocial Vocational Services (SVS) has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout California since 1977.
SVS is seeking caring, reliable, dedicated and outgoing individual to provide one-on-one individualized support as a Personal Support Specialistat our Newark program.
$750 hiring bonus after 60th day of full attendance (must work full shift to be counted towards the 60 days).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide one-to-one training or adaptive services to a specific client enrolled in the Day Program (including, but not limited to: paid work, social skills building, art, recreation, volunteering)
- Develop and monitor individual client plans within the Program.
- Assist with personal hygiene needs as needed.
- Assess, evaluate, implement and chart client's progress on goals and objectives
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
- Must pass post-job offer job-related physical exam including TB test
- First Aid/CPR certification (SVS will provide)
- Effective written and verbal communication
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
