OnsiteThis position is responsible for the administering of Personnel Security Clearances for Intelligence Community programs.
Responsibilities include assisting employees in completing required security paperwork, processing security clearance actions, reinvestigations, updates, initial submissions, and polygraph requests. Maintain internal company databases for the tracking of security action information. Job duties may also include the processing of visit requests, and badging identification duties. Maintain daily coordination with USG and external customers to implement regulated policy. Assist in managing Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities and have a basic understanding of opening and securing spaces. Provide proposal security support and assistance as needed to other security disciplines. This position will provide the Personnel Security Specialist with an opportunity to advance their industrial security skills through OJT by assisting the CSSO as needed, through daily management of the programs, internal customer support, maintaining compliance to SCIF standards and supporting the general security education and awareness program. The Personnel Security Specialist will be joining a team-oriented staff, focused on collaborating and sharing experiences and industrial knowledge to allow for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review SF86, e-Quip/e-APP for submission to customer and DCSA/NBIS for all initial investigations and periodic reinvestigations.
• Coordinate security clearance actions between the individuals, Program Management Office, and customer team after Government authorization.
• Schedule indoctrination appointments, coordinating indoctrination, and debriefing requests in collaboration with the government customer.
• Reconcile personnel security files, records, and access lists.
• Prepare reports and recommendations on the status of clearance processing for PMO and TA specialists.
• Support to the security team by managing appropriate records of annual self-inspections, security refresher training, indoctrinations, inspections/staff assistance visits, and close-out information.
• Assist as needed in preparing and coordinating badge requests and other personnel security documents for appropriate Government approval.
• Assist the security team during annual collateral or SCI reviews.
• Attending required technical and security training relative to assigned duties.
Required Skills:
• Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience knowledge of the Intelligence Community (specifically related to Personnel Security, Visits and Badging).
• Ability to rapidly respond to multiple tasks with short turnaround time, using sound judgement while maintaining good working relationships with internal and external customer.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload in fast paced environment.
• Ability to build rapport, interact professionally, and foster a cooperative work environment with a diverse population of people.
• Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality of personal and corporate sensitive information.
• Results oriented and desire/ability to quickly learn systems and procedures.
• Ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal communications and maintain a strict attention to detail.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Experience using Access Commander or related security management system.
Desired Skills:
• Experience using Government clearance databases to include, e-QIP, DISS JVS, NBIS e-APP and Scattered Castles.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Ability to partner with internal and external resources to leverage skills, knowledge, and experience.
• Problem solving and capitalizing on opportunities.
• Be a team player that projects a professional demeanor to include a customer-service focus and demonstrated ability to positively engage with senior company leadership in providing security guidance and assistance.
