QUES is a rapidly growing design/engineering/field services company within the U.S. Electric Power Utility Distribution markets. As part of the Quanta Services, Inc. portfolio of companies, QUES has visibility into utility strategies nationwide and has the ability to provide solutions directly to the customer or to partner with other Quanta companies to deliver full service solutions to the nation’s electric utility infrastructure.  Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri; QUES is licensed to work in all 50 states and has a nationwide footprint of regional offices.  We are seeking a Permit Coordinator that will work at our Kansas City, MO division office.

 

This position supports the permitting function for the area.  The incumbent will work with every step in the permitting process and will be expected to instrumental in the workflow that the department is responsible for.


  • Research local county/city and federal municipalities for permit requirements
  • Create permit in AutoCAD
  • Create a work area map and work description for municipalities that require it
  • Update assigned permit based on design changes as needed
  • Deliver a clear and quality product within the timeframe given
  • Other duties, as needed

  • Exceptional communication, verbal and written
  • Ability to read engineering prints preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow process within strict deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility in wide array of tasks given, in a team environment or independently
  • Utility, State, DOT or related permit acquisition experience a major plus
  • MS Office proficient, advanced Excel and data analysis skills preferred
  • High School Diploma (AS or BS degree preferred)
