A medical center in Brooklyn, New York, has a new Pediatric Residency Director position offering a $250k base salary and full benefits.

About the Position:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
- In-house call
- Same-day acute care visits
- 15-bed NICU level IIIB
- Pediatric ED seeing 27k annually
- 15 faculty members and 6 residents
- Residents rotate through IP floor, ED, Ped ambulatory care and continuity clinic, NICU, nursery, and OP services
- Electives include Ped Cardiology, Ped GI, Ped Neuro
- Breakdown: 40% admin and 60% clinical
- Responsible for ACGME, ABP, Joint Commission
- Board certification required
- $250k base salary + RVUs

QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered New York Pediatrician state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
- One year of work experience as Pediatric Physician
- One year of Epic experience
- Board Certified

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
