- Respond to customers and NEST Team members to address customer or application (e.g., email) issues
- Perform services to support the NASA data center and service operations.
- Loads printers and plotters with correct paper; adjusting controls for forms, thickness, tension, printing density, and location; and unloading hard copy
- Checks labels and mounting and dismounting designated tape reels or disks on specified units or drives
- Sets controls which regulate operation of the equipment;
- Observes panel lights for warnings and error indications and taking appropriate action;
- Examines tapes, cards, or other material for creases, tears or other defects that could cause processing problems.
- Work with the NASA Enterprise Service Desk and NEST Team members to understand any issues issue and help reach a resolution.
- Perform duties based on existing, documented procedures.
- Use the NASA ServiceNow system to track issues and document resolutions.
- Resolve common operating problems and may serve as an assistant operator working under supervision or performing a portion of a more senior operator's work.
