About the RoleWe're in search of a dynamic Periodontist to join our Founding Clinical team. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to influence patient care, collaborating with fellow prosthodontists and specialists, as well as Ritual's product and technology teams. Nestled in the heart of iconic Tribeca, NY, our modern office serves as a canvas for creativity and collaboration. This is an in person role, based in New York City.
ResponsibilitiesThe periodontist will be responsible for treating patients with periodontal disease, performing related surgical procedures, and placing and maintaining dental implants.
- Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis.
- Perform surgical procedures on gums and supporting bones to treat gum disease.
- Extract teeth and perform bone grafting procedures.
- Place and maintain dental implants.
- Use laser surgical techniques and other advanced procedures for treatment.
- Perform cosmetic periodontal procedures, such as crown lengthening and soft tissue grafts.
- Utilize advanced treatment modalities such as PRF in appropriate cases to promote healing and improve clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to plan treatment for patients.
- Educate patients about periodontal disease, its risks, prevention methods, and treatment options.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Document treatment plans, procedures, and outcomes in patient records.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and technologies in periodontics.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Successful completion of an accredited postgraduate periodontic residency program.
- Current licensure to practice dentistry and periodontics in NY state.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience working in a tech enabled company
- Proficiency in the use of PRF techniques and phlebotomy is a plus
- Certification in the Pinhole Surgical Technique is a plus

Pay, Perks & Benefits at RitualThe target salary range for this position is $1000 daily rate, plus production bonus. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
