Position Summary:
The Clinical Educator is responsible for providing staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, instructional program developer and project manager. The Clinical Educator supports the development of the care provided across the continuum of the patient experience and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based nursing practice and/or clinical care & competency. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development. In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the Clinical Educator is instrumental in creating a climate of compassionate care consistent with the highest standards of Dignity Health to meet the needs of the diverse units within the service area and the overall system needs of Dignity Health.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current California RN license required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a combination of experience and and Associate's Degree in Nursing. If candidate does not have a BSN, must be currently enrolled in school to obtain.
- Minimum of three years experience as a Registered Nurse in a Labor & Delivery department.
- Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
- Advanced certifications specific to the field of Labor & Delivery nursing may be required.

Pay Range
$63.38 - $81.87 /hour
