Performance Tester

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. This is a Contract to Hire position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract to Hire

Location: Olympia, WA (Onsite on need basis but must be in Olympia, WA)

Role: Performance Tester

Primary Skills: Performance Testing

Role Description: For this role, you must be an experienced (7+ years of experience) Performance Tester. You must have a strong background in performance testing of.NET Core Web applications with backend batch processing.

As a Performance Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of the client’s applications under varying load conditions.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies for .NET Core Web applications.

- Conduct performance testing of backend batch processing systems.

- Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to identify performance bottlenecks.

- Create and maintain performance test scripts using industry-standard tools.

- Participate in performance tuning activities to optimize application performance.

- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in performance testing.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

- Proven experience as a Performance Tester in testing .NET Core Web applications.

- Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner (Must) or similar.

- Solid understanding of backend batch processing systems.

- Proficient in writing performance test scripts and analyzing results.

- Knowledge of SQL for performance testing database interactions.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in Performance Testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level).

- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

- Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
