Boca Recovery Center is seeking Per Diem Staff nurses RN for a Medical Detox and Residential substance use disorder facility.
Deliver nursing care to clients as instructed by DON and Medical Director for Detox/Residential. Monitor clients during the treatment process to ensure that all of their medical needs are met while coordinating with all areas of the organization to ensure that clients are safe and comfortable during their stay at our facility.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies and prioritizes client care needs using client history and nursing assessment
- Provides direct client care
- Performs daily client medication administration and reconciliation, ensuring proper documentation and workflow
- Documents pertinent information in client's chart and accurately reports and makes observations to appropriate staff
- Assists in the collection of report data required for utilization review and quality assurance
- Practices safety, environmental, and infection control methods
- Will be required to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed RN
- Multiple years of experience in a substance abuse or psychiatric environment
- Strong communication skills required (verbal and written)
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, some weekend days
