Job Duties
Virginia Military Institute is seeking a per-diem Nurse Practitioner. Provides clinical assessment and treatment for 1,700 students. Shares clinical responsibilities with a Family Practice doctor and a DNP. Work schedule will be based on need with a maximum of 500 hours/year.
Job Duties:
• Provide quality clinical care for VMI cadets, coordinating care with the physician, DNP, and staff nurses. The per diem NP may provide overnight on-call services in alternation with the other providers, in-person services, sick call, every other Saturday morning while cadets are on Post.
• Provide full women's health services for female cadets.
• Support the VMI system and work with other departments on Post as needed.
• SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS: May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Requires accredited Nurse Practitioner training and Virginia license.
Additional Considerations
• Prefer hospital/private office experience.
