About IOT Government Management Information Systems (GMIS):

 

GMIS is housed in the Indiana Office of Technology and provides statewide technical and application support for more than 180 state operating agencies with 130 distinct financial business units.  GMIS supports Enterprise applications including Oracle Hyperion and PeopleSoft HCM modules; Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Absence Management, and Portal.

 

Salary:


This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $79,118.  Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.

 

About the Job:

 

The PeopleSoft Financials Developer provides technical leadership on complex projects that involve designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting PeopleSoft Financials modifications and enhancements to meet the State of Indiana requirements.

A Day in the Life:

 

The essential functions of this role are:

  • Provides technical leadership on complex projects involving: designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting PeopleSoft Financials modifications/enhancements to meet the State of Indiana requirements.
  • Interacts with Management, Applications Experts and Business Owners in understanding and resolving system/application related problems using analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Performs code reviews of modifications made by developers within GMIS before migration to production environment.
  • Monitors customized application changes and migrates changes between Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments following development guidelines.
  • Prepares and migrates custom system modifications during PeopleSoft Upgrade projects.
  • Provides third-tier backup for system administration of PeopleSoft Financial and Human Resources hardware structure.
  • Interacts directly with Oracle to resolve vendor-related issues.
  • Maintains functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials system.
  • Maintains technical knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials system.
What You'll Need for Success:
  • Extensive knowledge of information systems relating to PeopleSoft Financials at State of Indiana
  • Extensive knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques used in applications development
  • Extensive knowledge of policies, standards, procedures relating to PeopleSoft Financials at State of Indiana
  • Ability to develop customized applications using PeopleTools, SQR, Application Engines, BI-Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher
  • Ability to read and understand complicated technical manuals
  • Ability to manage multiple application development software projects and priorities
  • Previous experience with Accounts Receivable and Billing modules
  • Previous experience with PUM upgrades - Reviewing compare reports and retrofitting modifications
  • Previous experience with Event Mapping, Page/Field Configurator, Application Engine Plug-In
  • Previous experience with Fluid Design and Development
  • Previous experience with Financials 9.2 / Tools 8.5+
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
