Your Daily Challenges

When we welcome you aboard we’ll introduce you to the SureSwift Capital People Team, and Department Leads. These are the people you’ll work closely with day-to-day.
Once you get settled in and learn more about the team, your day to day activities will look something like this:

• Work closely with hiring managers and People Generalist to understand the needs of their department and any required job openings.
• Support hiring efforts including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and overall ensuring a positive candidate experience and to efficiently move through the recruiting process.
• Coordinate and complete onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
• Support hiring managers to set onboarding plans.
• Check-in with new hires on day 1 and periodically throughout their onboarding journey.
• Update internal knowledge base with policies, processes, and learnings.
• Work with the Finance Team to ensure any changes are communicated appropriately.
• Benefits administration in Canada and supports US benefits administration, with the ability to respond to or filter any benefit-related questions.
• Maintain and update People team processes and support the continuous improvement of them.
• Update People software for automation and efficiencies, personnel changes, and appropriate documentation.
• Manage celebratory people posts and recognition administration.
• Administrative compliance tasks.
• Support meetings and events with decks, calendar invites, speakers, etc.
• Other duties as related to supporting people and operations.

Your Experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-4+ years of experience in People/Human Resources.
• Previous experience in benefits administration.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with remote teams.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, both Canadian & US employment landscapes.
• Love for metrics and measures!
• Bonus points for experience using Rippling or JazzHR!

Your Compensation

We are a remote-first company and also offer an office space located in downtown Victoria, BC, for those who are local and prefer to work in an office setting.

The compensation range is listed below, actual range will be determined based on knowledge, skills, and experience.

• US USD $45,000-55,000 annually + bonus program eligibility
• Canada CAD $50,000-70,000 annually + bonus program eligibility

Background checks will be conducted on final candidates.
