As a Winter Automotive Mechanic, you will conduct skilled maintenance and repair of various vehicles, equipment, and parts to ensure that all fleet vehicles and equipment operates at peak efficiency and within department standards. The equipment is powered by gasoline or diesel engines. Repair and maintenance work is performed on hydraulic, electric, heating, cooling, exhaust systems, and manual and automatic transmissions. You will also perform state vehicle inspections for all assigned pieces of equipment that require it, complete required work orders, charges time accurately, and report all equipment accidents or damage immediately.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time seasonal. employment.
- These are seasonal positions lasting from September through April, but there are frequent opportunities for promotion that include excellent benefits and career advancement.
- Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Winter shifts start in November and will be 4:00 am to 12:00 pm and 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with 30 minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience in the Automotive Mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
- Possess any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Necessary Special Requirements:
- Must possess a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
- This position requires employees to possess a valid Pennsylvania Class 1 Inspection Mechanic Certification on the first day of employment.
