PE/Health Teacher

·         Annual Salary-$31,200-$34,320

·         Bilingual Salary-$32,760-$36,036

·        Sign on bonus-$1500.00 ($750.00 in first check/$750.00 after six months of employment)

·        Part-Time -24 hours per week

·        COVID Vaccination required

·         Tuition Reimbursement- St. Mary’s will reimburse half the cost per course up to $500.00.

Responsibilities and duties for SMHFC PE/Health Teacher

·         Implementation of a set curriculum that is aligned to RIDE Common Core Standards for PE/Health for grades K-12.

·         Assess and keep records of student progress for PE/Health utilizing school report templates for report cards and progress reports.

·         Prepare and submit quarterly progress reports and grades.

·         Create HS recovery opportunities as needed including afterschool and/or during ESY.

·         Implement clear expectations for behavior, language and participation aligned to school wide PBIS system.

·         Assign tasks and expectations for the teacher assistants during class and at school events.

·         Coordinate the logistics for "all school events” such as Field Day. Engage teachers in the planning process.

 

Qualifications for PE/Health TeacherMinimally a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a valid RIDE certification in PE/Health and preferably with Adaptive PE.
