What You'll Need:
Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant license (preferred) or Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant license
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PT/PTA or OT/COTA working in an outpatient therapy environment
Ability to summarize findings and communicate key outcomes for company metrics
Thorough understanding of billing and coding rules for therapy services
Thorough comprehension of payer contracts and language defining care delivery
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates extreme focus and high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and reliably to deliver goals with a sense of urgency
Good interpersonal skills to interact with multi-level staff
Ability to manage a high volume of projects and tasks
Demonstrates ability to effectively utilize technology
Proficiency in MS Office products including MS Word and MS Outlook
What You'll Do:
Assist in maintaining compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations by executing the annual audit plan
Review medical records to ensure they meet regulatory and/or payer requirements
Provide feedback to clinical staff regarding auditing and monitoring findings with the goal of process improvement
Assess the adequacy of internal control systems for billing and coding
Properly document using auditing and monitoring tools and make recommendations for improvement based on results
Participate in compliance auditing, data collection, and analysis
Utilize assigned platforms for documenting audit results
Communicate audit findings with multi-level leadership team
Collaborate with billing team to ensure billing compliance for all payers
Review of medical documentation resulting in approval or denial of further care
Perform other duties as assigned
